I know Rob for most of my adult life. He’s been taking care of my family’s jewelry affairs since the last millennium in the same location. You’ll be hard pressed to find better in Sarasota or anywhere. Honest, communicative, reasonably priced, top notch craftsmanship and quality.

The diamond fell out of my ring and went to several places to have fixed and no one could do it. But was lucky enough to find Rob the owner of Unique, he was fantastic and knew exactly how to repair it. It looks great. He is very professional and knows what he is doing. I would highly recommend him.

Rob has been our family jeweler for a while now and he’s never disappointed. I have bought amazing jewelry for my wife at his shop and we also had our wedding rings created by him. Rob at Unique Design is a professional jeweler that we are truly thankful for. I had a special ring from my engagement years ago, that was totally damaged from another “jeweler”. I even had it fixed by another “jeweler” that is known in Sarasota. My side stones were always falling out and I never was able to wear my ring out of fear I’d lose it. My mom who initially was a customer at Unique, introduced me to Rob. He very patiently helped me & my husband work through our options. We decided to rebuild my ring for our 10th wedding anniversary and Rob walked us through the whole process. Not only is he a kind and honest man, his quality craftsmanship is above and beyond. He is truly talented and can be trusted. We love Rob, his store, and will continue to recommend him and purchase from him. Even our kids love “Mr. Rob!” God bless this man for his God given gift and costumer service.

Stopped in to look at engagement rings and left wondering why I ever looked anywhere else. Purchased an amazing ring with Robs help and was engaged a couple of days later! Fiancé loves it! Before you make a decision on a piece of jewelry, stop in and see Rob at Unique Jewelers. He makes every piece in the store and has been in the jewelry business his whole life. You will be happy you did!

I took my sweet, sweet 84 yr old grandma to this store as she wanted to she what some of her pearls were worth and ask about a possible restringing. They were more than 60 years old and a wedding gift from her ex-husband - so obviously containing a lot of sentimental value - as explained to the owners. While "inspecting" the pearls, the owner was slamming them down on the counter and flinging them around carelessly - so rough that both my grandma AND his wife asked him to be more gentle. The worst part was this man started condescending my grandma and her pearls by calling them "cheap" and worth "next to nothing". EVEN IF they are not worth much, why would you talk like that about such a sentimental item and a family heirloom As I was seeing my grandma's heart break, I had had enough and finally spoke up and said something like "ok ok, we get it". Then the owner got all big in my face and said "do we have a PROBLEM" Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but I took my grandma's hand and walked right out after that disrespect.

I went there today and I wanted gold coins put into bezels.. I gave them three gold coins along with bezels. They took my coins and bezels and put them in an envelope with my name and phone number. Before leaving I requested a receipt for the coins and bezels. The owner refused to give me a receipt. He said it was their policy not to give out receipts. That is not acceptable to me. What proof will I have showing my coins which are worth over $3000.00? I took my coins from them and walked out. I will NEVER Do business with them. The owner looked shady and in today's world who does not give receipts? I do Not recommend them...
