This company taught me to do it myself next time. In March they came out and re-did my springs and replaced my door opener. Excellent work, and only mildly expensive. But when I called in December to ask them to replace my weather seal, the guy came without the part I needed and only had an extremely expensive part. The 5” seal they put on is sloppy and. Sticks out. It’s overkill and ugly, and not the one recommended or needed. The tech had just sold out of the less expensive seal. Weird. And the part I wanted is less than &20 at the store across the street. The whole job took him 20 minutes. I could have watched a YouTube video and done it myself, and next time I will. I’ll never call them again. Price gouging and wrong product lost you a happy customer.
Follow-up: the owner called me the second he saw this review. It seemed to really mean a lot to him to make this right, and I think he really does care about his reviews and the work his team does. He offered a discount, and also asked what else he could do to make it right. As a result, I changed my review a bit, but did not take any of his offers. It’s still the wrong part, and it’s still $272 for something I could easily do myself. My point here is that a little bit of research could save a LOT of money for most people. CR garage is probably a good company if you don’t care about money, but if you do, you can do it yourself. And if CR garage not doesn’t have the part you need, and only a much more expensive option, send them away.
