Update: My daughter just completed her second year of the L. B. Anne summer internship program and it has been just as amazing! With so many more kids there were 2 age groups. My daughter really felt like she got so much more out of it being in the older group. She was challenged to start a new story and she went outside her comfort zone and picked a totally different genre than she's used to. It's been such a great experience.

My daughter was part of the L. B. Anne summer internship program and we can not say enough about it! It was wonderful! She learned so much and had so much fun with the assignments. She can't wait to do it again next summer. L. B. Anne is absolutely amazing with the kids. She really gets them involved and takes the time to explain everything in a very child friendly way. She is so encouraging. My daughter already had a few chapters written and this really gave her the encouragement to continue on with her story.

The Author Apprentice Summer Intern program is Amazing!!!L.B Anne and her team care so much for our children, they take their time to find out how they are doing, to go over details about the program and any questions or concerns the kids and parents have, and to make sure the kids are focused on their assignments and of course that they are having fun while Learning so much about an independent author’s journey. Inspiring them to become an author as well if they want to. I have two kids and they both did this program and I can guarantee you that they enjoyed and learned a lot with L.B Anne, they love her already! She is kind, intelligent, fun and writes great books! Even though is all through FaceTime meetings and emails, the connection between everyone was wonderful! I asked both kids to write something about this summer program:
“ The L.B Anne program was certainly inspiring and I have so many good things to say about it!Like I said in the beginning,it is so inspiring because of the way it challenges us in a fun way like when we did a scavenger hunt for things that she asked. We were also with an actual AUTHOR. Lastly it showed me how to be a better writer (Now that’s a lot). “ Hi my name is Ana Julia McGovern and I absolutely loved the L.B Anne summer program.
Besides the part of you getting to meet an actual successful author, you learn so many valuable facts and techniques that help you in the writing and illustrating or your story. The program really helps you to get out of your comfort zone because you have to communicate and share things like your story ideas or questions you have about a topic to your peers. When I first started this program I wasn’t too sure if I would have fun or even like it, but I’ve made new friendships and learned a lot more about writing and reading facts and ways to make my writing better. Everyone was so nice and encouraging, that I was never afraid to share my ideas. You could say something about what you wrote in your story and half a second later there would be at least 10 messages in the chat saying “ Yesss ! “, or “ That’s amazing “ or “ wow, that’s so good” from people I’ve never met in my life.
Ms. L.B Anne is so nice and helpful to everyone. She would even stay after class with you and help you on your homework by telling you how you could improve it , and would always give you positive reinforcement! I really recommend this program to anyone who wants a good challenge. It might be scary at first to step out of your comfort zone but once you do, you’re not going to regret it, I promise!

As an intern, Lexi received the gift of accomplishment and recognition from her favorite author! This truly inspired her to stretch beyond her typical writing style; to learn and grow.
