Update: My daughter just completed her second year of the L. B. Anne summer internship program and it has been just as amazing! With so many more kids there were 2 age groups. My daughter really felt like she got so much more out of it being in the older group. She was challenged to start a new story and she went outside her comfort zone and picked a totally different genre than she's used to. It's been such a great experience. My daughter was part of the L. B. Anne summer internship program and we can not say enough about it! It was wonderful! She learned so much and had so much fun with the assignments. She can't wait to do it again next summer. L. B. Anne is absolutely amazing with the kids. She really gets them involved and takes the time to explain everything in a very child friendly way. She is so encouraging. My daughter already had a few chapters written and this really gave her the encouragement to continue on with her story.

"Wonderful, Cheerful and Kind" are the words my daughter used to describe L.B. Anne after the Summer Author Internship Program. Her generosity of compassion, time and resources speaks volumes! She truly cares about these kids and uses her creativity to nourish their minds and spirits, building confidence along the way. As an intern, Lexi received the gift of accomplishment and recognition from her favorite author! This truly inspired her to stretch beyond her typical writing style; to learn and grow. L.B. is so gentle and kind, yet sets expectations upfront. We feel so fortunate to have participated in such a unique, challenging, loving program where it's safe to express oneself without judgement. L.B.'s light shines brightly; she is now forever in our hearts. This experience was a DREAM COME TRUE for my daughter!

I can't say enough good things about l.B. Anne's summer internship program. This is my daughters second summer participating she had a really great time, and she looked forward to every meeting and even every assignment. It was such a good experience, and she learned so much about writing and the publishing industry, all while having a great time. I couldn't have asked for a better collaborator for my first book! Venturing into the unfamiliar territory of the writing world can be intimidating. There are numerous pitfalls with opportunistic individuals ready to exploit new authors, but JOA Press is the complete opposite. Throughout my journey, I encountered various vanity press companies and people trying to mislead me into hefty payments. JOA Press ensured that my experience was nurtured with care and constructive criticism. My voice throughout my project was significantly enhanced thanks to their meticulous attention to detail. As the parent of a first year student who has never done anything like this, I truly appreciate the opportunity and the patience to assist my child.
