I went in to get my ring measurements and have a steel chain bracelet shortened, the service couldn't have been better.

It took less than 10 minutes and it was completely free! The gentleman who helped me wouldn't even accept the tip I offered. I'd highly recommend this jewler when it comes to size work.

They have the largest selection of silver chains I've seen in Ottawa. Especially relatively longer and heavier.

The person serving me did not waste time and was very diligent.

Did not try to sell me anything that I did not need.

Taing Jewellers Barrhaven was exceptional at repairing my ring and necklace. My engagement ring had a broken claw. They decided it was best to put on a new basket to hold the diamond and my husband and I love the work done as it makes the diamond look better. They also put a lobster claw on to replace the clasp that stopped working properly. Both items were replaced with professionalism. The workmanship is exceptional and they are trustworthy. I feel very safe in their store.

I came here to get my engagement ring resized as it was too small to wear comfortably. The individual who sized me placed one sizer on my finger, quickly jotted the size down without asking me if the size was appropriate. It felt rushed and unprofessional.

When I went to pick up my ring, it was too big. I brought the ring back two days later to have it sized down, and the individual there questioned why the ring was too big. I explained that the previous time I was sized was rushed and that only one size was tried on my ring finger. They again resized my ring, this time at no cost.

When I picked up my ring from Taing for the second time, I noticed the white gold and the yellow gold parts of my ring were separating, as the soldering had disintegrated when the ring was cut to be a smaller size. When my fiancé and I called the company that made my ring originally, they explained that any professional goldsmith would know that the section of the ring where the white gold and yellow gold meets would need to be cooled properly in order to prevent this from happening.

Although the cost was reasonable, and the turn-around time of the ring being resized was quick, I now see that they completely rushed this job.

I now have to pay to have my ring re-soldered, but I do not trust Taing to complete this, and absolutely will not be returning to Taing Jewellers again in the future.
